The 2018 Newport Marathon (promoted as the ‘ABP Newport Wales Marathon‘) was organised with support from Associated British Ports, Newport City Council and the Welsh Government.

The route was advertised as “one of the UK’s flattest and fastest marathon courses – taking in a host of iconic landmarks, picturesque medieval villages and Newport’s recently regenerated city-centre.”

Running (no pun intended!) alongside the marathon was the ABP Newport Wales 10K. This offered runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to get involved without having to commit to the challenging 26.2-mile marathon distance.
