The stillness of the church

and the flicker of the flames,

The bright lights of Christmas

Twilight shop in little lanes.

 

Aching hearts missing souls

Silent tears that fall,

Candle light shines so bright

Shadows dancing on the wall.

 

Laughing cries of one kin

Skating on the ice,

The merry times of winter

Come caroling the season in.
